This is your chance to go behind the scenes at Auckland Zoo and experience wildlife up close. For reptile lovers, this tour is a great chance to learn more about the world’s largest living tortoise species - the Galapagos tortoise. Enjoy this close up and personal experience with these majestic animals – where you will have the opportunity to interact with the tortoises.
Your guide will be with you at all times during the tour. Staff at Auckland Zoo will take all practical steps to reduce the risks in their activities to acceptable levels, supply instruction on safe practices, and make participants aware of the level of risk in each activity. However all activities require a shared responsibility.
This tour is run from 11 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays (please confirm times when booking). Weather will not normally affect this tour.
The minimum age requirement is 7 years. A paying adult must accompany children under the age of 15. All participants must be able to walk on uneven terrain (wheelchairs not suitable sorry).
