Hot air ballooning is the only air adventure giving you a tranquil and majestic flight which no other aircraft can offer. It is the ultimate gift adventure, touched with serenity and romance.
You will meet at dawn when air conditions are clear calm cool and stable and be driven by 4-wheel drive vehicle to the launch site.
Once the balloon is inflated, you will board the wicker basket and your magical flight begins. The peace and gentleness of ballooning will surprise you and Methven panoramic views of the entire 300kms of the Canterbury Plains plus Mt Cook and the National Park mountains - by Mt Hutt are unsurpassable.
All too soon it is time to land. The successful completion of the flight is celebrated with a champagne style buffet breakfast as a picnic in the field generally served by a suitably attired waiter with a silver tray. You will also receive a flight certificate.
Normal balloon flight experiences are up to four hours of which about one hour is actual flight time.
