Its FUN!
Whitewater rafting is a perfect mix of scenic solitude and full-on
adventure. This trip is no exception.
The experience is provided by River Rock on the Otaki river
(Grade 2-3) and runs between October and April. You will be provided
with lots of warm gear to keep you "toasty-pie". You're
in good hands River Rock has qualified and experienced guides
to accompany all trips.
Booking
Trips run Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 9.30am, Tuesday
at 1.00pm, Wednesday and Friday at 6.00pm between October and
April.
What to bring
Swimsuit or shorts/top to wear under wet suit, old sneakers/runners
(ie a second pair to get wet), towel. You will be provided with
neoprene socks, wetsuit, splash jacket, helmet and lifejacket.
Valuables
Glasses are usually no problem - use a tie. Normal cameras are
not recommended, however the waterproof disposables have proved
to take good shots. Don't bring valuables with you.
Location
Meet at River Rock, Otaki Gorge, Kapiti Coast (approx 1 hr from
Wellington) at the scheduled time. The trip takes about 3 hrs.
All clients will be asked to sign a disclosure of risk form
stating that all outdoor activities have an element of risk.
