The island of Rangitoto, situated in Aucklands Hauraki Gulf is an easy 30 minute cruise from Downtown Auckland via Devonport. This dormant volcano is possibly the most recognisable icon of the Auckland region and a must do day out for locals and visitors. Visitors can freedom walk on the formed tracks to the summit in approximately one hour, taking time to pause at lookouts along the way.
Departure time vary summer and winter and on weekdays, but there are generally three sailings in each direction each day.
