This gift voucher provides an introduction to the delights of Waiheke, the magical island paradise.

The trip starts with a 35 minute ferry ride from Auckland, departing at 12 noon. Waiheke is rapidly becoming a world class producer of Bordeaux-style wines and on this tour you visit three highly acclaimed vineyards (Mudbrick, Stonyridge and Peninsula) for wine tasting and an explanation of wine producing techniques used in the vineyards. The vineyard entry fees are included in the price. The tour includes a stop at Onetangi, where you can stroll along the beach or buy a light lunch at Onetangi Yacht Club.

Unspoiled beaches surround the island while inland are pockets of native bush, farmland and of course vineyards. Waiheke is the home of many of New Zealand's notable artists, craftsmen and writers, so a stroll through the shops and markets of Oneroa Village is well worth while, or alternatively, sit down and relax at one of the bars or cafes basking in the tranquillity of this charming place. You have the option to return to Auckland on a later ferry to allow yourself more time to indulge in the pleasures of the island.
