This is your chance to go behind the scenes at Auckland Zoo and experience wildlife up close. If you've ever wanted to get up close and personal with our closest living relatives in the animal kingdom, then this is an experience that you will never forget. Come behind the scenes and meet a group of small primates from Madagascar - the ring-tailed lemurs. Watch these friendly primates interact with each other and help to feed them their lunch with a guide.
Your guide will be with you at all times during the tour. Staff at Auckland Zoo will take all practical steps to reduce the risks in their activities to acceptable levels, supply instruction on safe practices, and make participants aware of the level of risk in each activity. However all activities require a shared responsibility.
This tour is run from 12.45pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (please confirm times when booking). This tour is weather dependent so please phone to confirm on the morning of your booking.
The minimum age requirement is 8 years. A paying adult must accompany children under the age of 15. Due to the possibility of unforeseeable animal health or staffing issues, Auckland Zoo cannot guarantee that all animals and exhibits specified will be available. All participants must be able to walk well on uneven terrain.
