A gift experience that you will never forget. Meet the little blue penguins and other shore birds whilst hearing stories of how they came to us to inspire you to protect our natural world. You will come face-to-face with our NZ Fur Seals and Californian Sea Lions and have the opportunity to watch their keeper conduct a training session with these magnificent sea mammals from inside their exhibit.
Experience a penguin feed alongside a keeper, venture behind the scenes at Sea Lion Shores for some hands on time with the Californian sea lions. Watch the keeper conduct a training session from inside Sea Lion Shores - this is your opportunity to see your new found friends in action displaying some of their amazing natural behaviours. Your guide will photograph you immersed in your tour. The photos will be put onto CD, which you will receive at the tour conclusion - a fantastic record of your unforgettable experience. Tour includes all day Zoo access.
Minimum age is 8 years and all children under 15 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult.
This tour is run at 2.00pm on Sundays (please confirm times when booking). Weather will not normally affect this tour, but this can be confirmed on the morning of the booking.
