Swimming with dolphins and viewing them in their natural environment is a a gift experience to remember. This gift provides the opportunity to cruise alongside dolphins in their world and see these beautiful marine mammals up close. Once mammals have been encountered the experienced crew will tell you all about these wonderful creatures and their habits.
There are 2 variations on this experience depending on the season the voucher is redeemed, see below for details.
The crew will assess the behaviour of the dolphins on the day and decide whether swimming with the dolphins will be possible (DOC regulations*). To go swimming with the dolphins an extra fee of $30 is payable on the boat and not included in this voucher.
The modern high speed catamaran is purpose built for dolphin watching and swimming in the Bay of Islands and offers easy access to the water, which is the warmest in New Zealand.
