Introductory Flying Lesson - 20 mins - Whakatane

Take to the air - the gift of flight but you take the controls.

The gift experience starts with a brief introduction to the aircraft. You will be shown around, and then you’ll hit the skies and fly with an experienced instructor who will share his passion of flying with you. Just imagine, traversing the skies, skimming the trees and seeing everything from up high. Get the adrenalin boost felt only on takeoff and landing, not to mention the coasting sensation as you skim on air, and afterwards being able to say "I flew a plane today"!

From Whakatane you will fly over the Edgecumbe township over the Ohiwa Harbour and Ohope Beach. The length of this flight is approximately 60 km.

The idea is that when you are up in the air you will get the most out of the flight. The 20 minute flight is for you to enjoy the experience of flight and having a look around, as well as have the opportunity to fly the aeroplane yourself. Follow up with a debrief, where your Instructor will answer all of your questions.
