How long are vouchers valid for?

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, or specified birthday date, and are open dated

What type of gift voucher can I purchase?

There are 2 types of gift vouchers – presentation vouchers (hard copy) & e-vouchers

How long do gifts take to be delivered?

e-vouchers are processed as soon as they are received and payment is confirmed.  24 hours a day – 7 days a week.

Presentation vouchers  are processed on the day they are received when received during working hours (Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4.30 pm).  Presentation voucher orders received on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next working day.

There are 5 options for gift voucher delivery:

e-voucher (free) – e-vouchers are processed as they are received, provided payment has been made.

NZ Post (free) – Due to changes within NZ Postal system, delivery within 5 working days via NZ’s mail service cannot be guaranteed.  If you require delivery within 7 days of the purchase date, it is recommended you select the ‘courier‘ option.

Overnight Courier (additional cost $5) – overnight anywhere in New Zealand, excluding rural delivery addresses – rural delivery may take 2 days.  (Courier orders need to be received by 4.30pm) There is no courier delivery service on weekends.

Same Day Courier (price dependant on delivery address, ranging from $15 to $60, you can check this in the checkout process) – this service is available within the Auckland metro area only when orders are placed during working hours.  Orders need to be received prior to 2.30pm. 1 Hour Courier can be arranged by calling us on 0800 200 204 during working hours.

Outside New Zealand – This service is available via International Post an can take between 7-14 days depending on destination.  Express services are available (2-4 days) and range in price from $45-$95 (tbc prior to ordering)

What are the cut off dates for Christmas delivery?

If you order an e-voucher, it will be processed &  delivered immediately, provided payment has been received .

If you are ordering presentation vouchers for postal delivery, we suggest you allow up to 10 days (in NZ) prior to Christmas in order to enable your gift to be delivered on time. We do seal the ‘presentation envelope’ with a sticker ‘Only to be opened on Christmas Day’ – so if they receive it early, they know not to open it until the special day.

Courier orders should arrive on time if placed 2 working days (in NZ) before Christmas.

Orders for presentation vouchers received after these dates will be sent out on the working day that we receive them.

Can the recipient swap the voucher?

All Gifts To Remember vouchers are able to be exchanged during their period of validity.  Vouchers can be swapped for an alternative selection at a similar value, or at a higher value upon receipt of payment for the difference.

How does the recipient redeem the voucher?

An information sheet is provided along with each gift voucher that explains in detail what the gift is, and how to book.  All vouchers are open dated so the recipient has the opportunity to book for the experience at a time convenient to them (subject to availability)

Do I need to specify a date when I purchase the gift?

No, all vouchers are open dated and valid for 12 months.  The person receiving the gift can book the experience at a time convenient to them (subject to availability).  You can request a specific date for an experience and we can see if it is available for you and make the booking if required.

How will the gift be presented?

e-vouchers are emailed immediately to the recipient, including any message that is requested. An information sheet detailing the gift & how to redeem it is attached.

Presentation vouchers are packaged in a mat black envelope with a Gifts To Remember logo on the front.  The envelope contains a personalised voucher, an information sheet detailing the gift & how to redeem it, and a small matching gift card.  Gift messages are hand-written on the gift card.

What payment options are there?

Credit card – we accept payment by Visa or Mastercard.  This can be processed immediately.

Debit Card – most debit cards will work through our payment system.

Direct credit – on receipt of your direct credit order we will supply you with bank account details.  Your order will be processed when payment is receipted into our account.  We bank with the BNZ, so if your payment is from an BNZ account, the transfer should be immediate.  For other banks the transfer will occur overnight.  Some clients have successfully transferred payment to our account from banks outside of New Zealand, but the bank charges can be expensive.

Direct deposit – within New Zealand you could make a deposit directly into our account at any branch of the BNZ.

Can I purchase gifts from outside New Zealand?

You can order gifts from anywhere in the world for delivery within New Zealand or overseas. For vouchers posted to overseas addresses, please allow 7-14 days.

How do I know where the gift is situated?

The location for each gift is stated as part of the gift information.

Is it safe to put my credit card details into the checkout?

Yes.  The checkout used by the Gifts To Remember website is hosted on a secure server and all details are encrypted before they are sent over the internet. The payment system we use – Payment Express is provided by a third party company DPS that provides this service for many internet businesses and banks.  They meet the exacting standards required by the credit card companies for security and encryption of data.  They do not store credit card information once it has been used real-time for the payment.  We have chosen this system because of the protection it gives you – our customer.

What options are there if I can’t make up my mind?

Dollar value vouchers – you can give gift vouchers to a dollar value so that the person who is receiving the gift can choose a gift experience to their taste and interest.  They will be able to do this by visiting the website as you have done or if they do not have internet access by phoning us.

Swap policy – Don’t worry, the recipient can swap their voucher for any other gift experience in the Gifts To Remember range, so there is sure to be something that will suit.

Can I pay in a currency other than New Zealand dollars?

All prices quoted on this site are in New Zealand dollars.  If you access a currency converter on the internet this will give you an idea of the equivalent value in your currency.  When you make a payment by credit card the payment is in New Zealand dollars and will be converted by the credit card company to your currency and will usually appear on your statement in both currencies.
