A new law on voucher expiry
From 16 March 2026, the Fair Trading (Gift Card Expiry) Amendment Act 2024 requires every gift voucher sold in New Zealand to remain valid for at least three years from the date of sale.
Why we’re closing
A promise we can’t keep three years out
Our vouchers aren’t store credit. Each one is a promise that an independent operator — a jet boat skipper, a day spa, a scenic flight pilot — will deliver a specific experience at a specific price.
Operator pricing changes every season. Some retire or close. Guaranteeing today’s voucher will be honoured at today’s value three years from now means carrying risk for hundreds of small businesses we don’t control. We couldn’t make the model work fairly under the new rules.

Already hold a Gifts to Remember voucher?
Your voucher remains valid until its printed expiry date. The new law applies only to vouchers sold from 16 March 2026 onward — it does not change the terms of vouchers issued before then. Use yours as you normally would. Exchanges remain available through the website while we wind down.
