Located a stunning 45min drive from Queenstown, Skydive Southern Alps has small personalised groups and awesome staff.  You will be skydiving over Lord of the Rings locations, a World Heritage area and Fiordland National Park with views of Mitre Peak in Milford Sound, Mt Aspiring, Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables. With the stunning mountains of The Lord of the Rings’ Middle Earth laid out before you, it’s time to let your imagination soar as the plane cruises above the mountains to your desired altitude. An unforgettable experience is about to happen! Skydive Southern Alps’ drop zone is located a few minutes south of Glenorchy township, nestled at the edges of Fiordland National Park and Mt Aspiring National Park. A place of huge cultural and historical importance, Glenorchy is the gateway to the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Area – the place of Greenstone. Key Information

Minimum age 6 years. The minimum weight is 30gs/66lbs and minimum height is 1.2metres/47.2inches. All passengers must fit securely into the harness. Children 12 years and under will be permitted to skydive from a maximum height of 9,000ft. All children are subject to an assessment on the day by the Tandem Master. Passengers under 18 years require written parental/guardian consent. Maximum weight is 115kg/253lbs.  All persons over 95kg are subject to Tandem Master assessment at the drop zone.  Persons over 95kgs will incur a weight surcharge of between $50 – $75 which is payable at time of check in. This gift experience is supplied as a voucher that is valid for 12 months. It will be sent out with full details of the gift and booking instructions.
